Meike 85mm f/1.8 MF Overview
A bright short-telephoto prime, the Sony E-mount Meike 85mm f/1.8 is well-suited for portraiture and other subjects requiring a slightly longer-than-normal focal length. The f/1.8 maximum aperture offers greater control over depth of field, for isolating subject matter, and also benefits working in difficult lighting conditions. The optical design incorporates one extra-low dispersion element, which reduces color fringing and chromatic aberrations in order to realize high clarity and accurate color rendering. A multi-layer nano coating also minimizes ghosting and flare for improved contrast when working in bright conditions. This manual focus lens provides a 2.8' minimum focusing distance and an integrated distance scale aids in pre-focusing. Additionally, electronic contacts relay Exif data from the lens to the camera and also permit camera-based aperture adjustment.
